Checkers is one of the easiest board games to learn, but it offers endless depth. If you are brand new to the game, follow these 4 simple steps to victory!
1. Step 1: Set Up the Board Correctly
Always make sure the dark square is on your left. Each player gets 12 pieces placed on the dark squares of the first 3 rows.
2. Board Setup & Strategic Positioning
If you see a chance to jump over your opponent's piece, you MUST take it! Keep an eye out for double jumps too!
3. Key Traps & Defensive Counter-Play
When your checker reaches the last row on the opposite side, it becomes a King. Kings are super powerful because they can move backward and forward!
4. Advanced Combinations & King Mobility
Try to keep your back row intact as long as possible to prevent your opponent from getting easy Kings early in the game!
